La La Land Returns to LA with Live Orchestra for Two Special Nights

La La Land will return to LA State Historic Park for a special screening accompanied by a live 53-piece orchestra and jazz band on September 14th and 15th.

The event, presented by Street Food Cinema, TIL Events, Hurwitz Concerts, and Lionsgate, will feature a performance conducted by the film’s composer, Justin Hurwitz.

This marks a repeat engagement for the Street Food Cinema event, which attracted around 6,500 fans last year. Attendees will have the chance to see costumes and props worn by stars Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling on display both nights. The event will also include colorful photo backdrops, a full bar with festive cocktails inspired by the film, and food trucks offering a variety of snacks.

Justin Hurwitz expressed enthusiasm about returning, saying the experience of conducting the orchestra against the backdrop of downtown LA’s skyline is “surreal and beautiful.”

La La Land, directed by Damien Chazelle, is a romantic musical that tells the story of aspiring actress Mia (Emma Stone) and jazz musician Sebastian (Ryan Gosling) as they navigate the highs and lows of pursuing their dreams in Los Angeles. The film was widely acclaimed for its vibrant cinematography, captivating music, and heartfelt performances.
