Known for creating the iconic “saxocone”—a traffic cone used as an acoustic extension of his saxophone—WENZL has transformed urban environments into energetic dance floors with his distinctive fusion of EDM and jazz. Prior to his solo Project WENZL, he toured the world with his band Moon Hooch for over a decade and even performed on Tiny Desk and the official TED conference. 

Moon Hooch’s spontaneous performances, often in unexpected locations like subways, garnered attention not just from passersby but eventually the police, leading to a playful cat-and-mouse game with constant venue changes to keep their music alive.

WENZL’s inventiveness isn’t bound to just his music. His social media presence, particularly on TikTok, has become a phenomenon. One casual performance in a Chipotle led to a viral sensation, amassing 60 million views and launching a single. His humorous and often spontaneous performances challenge societal norms and bring joy, like when he was asked to leave a mall for playing his saxophone, only to turn the situation into a dance contest outside, awarding $100 to a young girl.

WENZL’s career reached new heights with his hit single “Disco Cone”, and his collaboration with Flo Rida on “Feels Right (I Love It)” showcased his versatility, bringing his innovative style to an even broader audience.
